
Defrosting and Draining The Freezer
Defrost wheneverthe frost becomes1/ 4" thick. Neverusea sharp or
metallicinstrumentt o removethefrost asit may damagethec ooLing
coils.( A punctured coil will void the warranty)
Tu rn thetemperaturecontrolt o OFF positionand unplug theunit.
For draining, placea tray beneaththeouterdrain plug. Pull out the
drain dial (seefig . #2a) and rotateit so that the arrow pointsdown
ward. This will let the water flow out into the tray.
Removethe drain plug from theinsideof thefreezer(seefig. #2b).
Defrostingusually takes a fewhours.To defrostfaster keepthe
freezerdoor open. Whendone, pushthedrain dial in and turn the
arrowt o theup position.Re-plug the drain plug insidethe freezer
compartment. monitorthecontainer underthedrain to avoid
overflow.
Note:
Wipe theinteriorof the freezerand replacetheelectricalplug in
th e electrical outlet.
Re setthe temperaturecontrol to the desired setting.
